This book was created for the purpose of helping members of the SCA who wanted to create authentic-style names for the medieval/renaissance period. It includes very detailed material about family names, personal names, honorific names and titles, as well as Chinese style names and later period Christian names. It has a thematic dictionary of names according to their meanings, and lists of historical names. Much of the material is presented in chart form.
