Rare and important recordings by the now mostly forgotten French tenor who flourished in the 1920s and 30s. All excerpts here are sung in French. For somem of us, it takes a little getting-used to hearing, say, "Siegmund heiss ich, und Siegmnund bin ich" rendered as "Sigmund, suis-je . . ." but it's OK. French Wagnerian tradition is rich and good: think of Kollo and Crespin, to name only a few from later days.
