Interesting story and characters - took me a few sittings to finish.

I felt slightly disappointed by the story, I didn't feel as if I got enough closure for everything within the book, and a lot of ends were left loose. This could be purposeful for following books, hopefully?

The explicit scenes didn't really convey the exploration the FMC was going through IMO and I would have enjoyed some explanation or more discussion with it being her first BDSM relationship. Even some past history or examples of MMC learned skills: I felt like I wanted more of 'Marcus' or maybe some dual POV.

Well placed plot: I enjoyed the friendships, the exploration of PTSD was done really well, the story wasn't too far fetched and felt realistic. The romance was great, and I was happy they got the HEA.
