Kuniko Sugiura

This collection of Indonesian tales are wonderfully written. One tale is similar to the story of Cinderella, complete with an evil stepmother and selfish stepsister. In another story, a king searches for the best man for his daughter to marry. Each story has a moral to discuss with children. The illustrations are painted in watercolor and are quite beautiful.

I liked this book. The fables were interesting and did have a plot. They also had great morals to talk about after the story is done.
