William E. Studwell

This is quite a useful little reference book for anyone who is interested in Christmas carols. Reference librarian Studwell takes his best shot at the authorship, composers, and history of 140 Christmas songs, both well-known and obscure. My one quibble is that he did not list songs from languages other than English in their native tongues, although they can be searched in the index. This book appears to be out of print but can still be acquired used. It would be helpful to music ministers and others responsible for concert programs at Christmas.… (plus d'informations)
