After a concert on Cockatoo Island the body of lead singer Alan Greenworthy is discovered, stabbed in his heart. It is for Sergeant Natalie Campbell and Inspector Gary Haddock to unravel his life to determine his murderer. But who can they believe, and what secrets are being hidden.
An entertaining and well-written modern mystery thriller with its interesting characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable Australian series.

Sydney Australia 2005. While out jogging Sasha Cornell disappears, the daughter of a wealthy businessman. In 2022 a body is discovered on an island called pinchgut. Cornell uses all his power and money to make sure the police treat it as a priority. Sergeant Natalie Campbell and inspector Haddock investigate. Sergeant Natalie Campbell and her senior partner Detective Gary Haddock are caught in a net of seemingly unrelated murders with no apparent killer. This is very uncommon here and the affluence of the persons involved make the investigation a real mess despite their hard work and due diligence. It's a very messy business involving a judge, the need to consult with a criminal psychologist, other persons in the judiciary, and high ranking police. Excellent read!… (plus d'informations)

Modern day Sydney. It all starts with the murder of homeless aboriginal Joe Coster. Then Hasidic Jew Miriam Levine. Detective Gary Haddock and Sergeant Natalie Campbell investigate while dealing with their own problems. But are cases and subsequent deaths all linked. Is there a serial killer in the city. Soon it gets more complicated.
An entertaining modern Australian mystery. A good start to this new series with its interesting main characters.
