Ridley is the guy who stayed at home, the one who picked up Boo, their adopted daughter, when they agreed to go ahead and make her theirs, and he's the one who has struggled to figure out how to deal with a baby on his own. Ridley's sense of relief that Jason came home unharmed is as palpable as his wishing Jason would never have to leave again, and his loving thoughts as he remembers some of what happened during Jason's absence make for a great introduction of some of their background.
Jason is clearly happy to be home, and delights in the "normal" activities like shopping for baby diapers and putting Boo to sleep in the evening. He loves Ridley and his explorations of Ridely's body are as loving and intense as they both need to truly reconnect. And when they finally get to discuss what he's been wanting to talk to Ridley about, Jason may be tense but he needn't have feared. It's all good as far as Ridley is concerned.
If you like stories about hot military men who are loving husbands and fathers, if you enjoy reading about joyful reunions, and if you're looking for a sweet read with lots of heat, then you will probably like this story.
