This is a great folktale with great illustrations. I use this book to teach organization to my writing students.

A moose tries to grow the biggest and the best cabbage to take to the fair to win first place but when its time to take the cabbage to the fair it is so large that moose can't figure out how to get it there. I thought this book was cute. I like that it is an Alaskan folktale, it just shows that there aren't only american folktales or folktales based on countries alone, but states can have folktales too.
