This is a "history" of all Canada's 28 PM's although not quite the typical history one is accustomed to. Not a tome detailing their accomplishments, political battles and crises fought, significant legislation completed and so on. But the content includes "day in the life of", how others saw them. travel, sports, individual security, personal health, travel, their homes, pets. It may sound trivial and even like gossip but it's far from it. It gives perspectives on the lives they led, the service they provided, and comparisons between the various holders of that vaulted position. Of course all men except for a brief time by a woman. One thing comes across strongly and from the author's POV and the reader'as gleaning is a respect for their service and sacrifice for our country.

All living PM's contributed except for Mr Harper (surprised?) and understandably the incumbent Trudeau Jr.

IMHO all Canadian would benefit from reading this book and perhaps would look at the PM in a different light.

Full disclosure - I am a fan of the author, JDM Steward of Bishop Strachan School in Toronto, a long time reader of his letters to the Globe, and follow him on Twitter. I rank him up there with Canadians suck as Paiken and Boyko who give us such valued perspectives on our country.
