The author is a Physics professor at Cal State Fullerton, who started out politically as a Marxist and gradually progressed to being a Marxist. (!) With his I's wide open, and with unquestionable credentials as a humanitarian, he asks the hard questions, and faces the facts, many of which are inherently contradictory.
