Witch's Curse (Book 2, The Witch Stone Prophecy)
by by Debra L. Martin and David W Small

Jeda Delongo fled the Assassins Guild many years ago. Now his wife Keisha is in a deep coma and all the powerful healers of the Kingdom can not wake her. Jeda must find the Witch's Stone to save his wife. But the White Witches and Black Witches are meeting. Jeda's twin daughters may be able to help, but they are being used by evil Witches. Will Jeda and the twins be able to find the stone and save Keisha?

An action filled adventure with many dangers and obstacles along the way. The twins Kala and Kara are very likable, it was a different twist to see young twins in this position. The story was very original and quite enjoyable. I think those who love fantasy (and witches) will love Witch's Curse. I would like to read book one in the series Assassin's Curse also by Debra L. Martin.

Review:

"The Crystal Facade" by Debra L. Martin and David Small are this authors' second installment of the "Rule of Otharia" series. This novel picks up six months after the first adventurers on Otharia and Earth where we find that Dyla is having visions of 'Sir Blackheart' that will not go away until she goes back to Earth to finish this quest. We then find the powerful telepathic group...Cat, Dyla and Eclair go back to Earth only leaving Darius to find "out who is trying to kill him and prevent this event spirit from taking over Otharia." Now, to truly understand what is going on in this read, you must pick up the "The Crystal Facade" and find out what all is going on in this well-written story. I believe you must read the first book...'Rule of Ortharia' to get the whole story as it continues into this novel. There will be plenty of twist and turns that will be surprises for the reader. Be ready for a good mystery, mythology, fantasy and sci-fi that will get you turning the pages till the end. In the end ...you will get the real secret of the crystal and find out who this 'real villain' is. The characters were all 'unique and charming' that only gives us a interesting read.

If you are in for a good fast paced read that journeys into fantasy-sci-fi you have come to the right place for "The Crystal Facade" would be recommended to you as a good read.

On a world that takes its competitions seriously, it's a race to win or lose it all trying. But when they are framed for murder, they have to flee to Earth and make it back in time to save their throne.

I really enjoyed the telepathy that is used by the characters to create portals and achieve various other things. The Quest for Nobility is a mix of fantasy and science fiction, with an Arthurian legend woven between Otharia and Earth.

I was left wanting to see more of Otharia and its culture and world outside of the walls of royalty that I felt somewhat confined to. Of the many characters, my favorite were the twins Darius and Dyla. With a few loose ends left to be tied up, I look forward to reading on to The Crystal Facade.… (plus d'informations)

The Quest for Nobility, written by Debra Martin and David Small, is the first book in The Rule of Otharia series. This action packed book takes us into a world where the Telkur twins, Darius and Dyla, are part of a dominant family. Then through unexpected events, their happy lives are thrown into a world of chaos as they discover their parents have been murdered and the family name dishonored. While still trying to cope with the loss, the twins enter into a competition in hopes of using the prize money to keep the family land free of debt. The competition is made up of a series of objectives where each team, made up of three members, must use their psychic abilities and training to reach the objective successfully. However, things don’t go according to planned and the twins soon find themselves wanted for murder and have no choice but to flee to the planet Earth until they can figure out what their next course of action will be. Murder, betrayal, and corruption will be revealed while the twins learn who they can and can not trust. I really enjoyed reading The Quest for Nobility and am eager to read book two of the series, The Crystal Facade. The only thing that didn’t sit well with me throughout this book was the time frame while Darius and Dyla were on Earth. I may have missed something, but it seemed as though they were only away for a few days, but once back on their planet, the time shifted and made it seem like they were gone longer. I’m interested in seeing if there is a time frame explained in book two that will wrap up that issue for me from book one. However, that being said, I still very much enjoyed reading The Quest for Nobility and am anxious to see how authors Debra Martin and David Small fine tune their skills in book two, The Crystal Facade.… (plus d'informations)
