An outline of the work of this centre for children with autism over the 18 years prior to 1983. Describes the work in terms of building relationships and shaping behaviour on an individual one-to-one basis with each child. Looks at how a child's language and thought processes develop and how to set limits to destructive or aggressive behaviour.
