Emily gets told she is getting a new baby sibling. She wanted to make a list for the sibling on what the sibling needed and she gave it to her parents and helped them find the things that were on the list.

Emily gets told she is getting a new baby sibling. Emily likes to make lists, so she makes a list of all the good and bad things about this new baby. In the end, her parents help her see all the other good things and she's okay with it.

This little girl sees that her mommy is getting bigger. When her parents tell her she is soon going to be a big sister, she is not happy. She doesn't believe she will be loved the same and that it will be the same. HEr parents tell her about her as a baby, and eventually, convince her that it will be great to have a baby around.

Emily the main character in the book becomes extremely upset when she finds out her mom is pregnant with another baby. She becomes so upset that she writes a list of pros and cons of having a baby in the house. She proclaims, “It will be baby this and baby that and baby goo goo and baby blah blah blah.” She worries that her parents won't pay her any attention but her parents reassured her that it will be okay. While stories centered on new babies’ arrival abound, the concluding surprise on this traditional topic provides a delightful twist.

Realistic events that children can see themselves in are very important. Children because of this book can relate to this.
