I am getting quite taking in with Manga now a days, the drawings, the back to front, villains and heroes, disguised and out in plain view. There is a seriousness and a daintiness and characters yelling at each other. Much of that can be found in Amazing Agent Luna. I don’t know the plotline in vol 1 but vol 2 held its own, with stuff that can be figured out in the contents of this book.

This is a Manga graphic novel, with typical manga style characters and artwork that starts in the back and is read left to right. Enjoy this book. I did! Looking forward to reading vol 1 and continue in volume 3.

I haven't read OEL manga in a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect from Amazing Agent Luna. I enjoyed the work a lot, though I thought the high school drama elements were a bit much. The cast is almost too tight to quite work. We don't particularly see any faculty outside of the science and PE teachers and the principal. Similarly, the school seems to consist of only two cliques - the outsiders, which Luna latches on to, and the bunch of "Mean Girls" which make up the popular clique. There's no social groups around athletics or drama (or any other extra-curricular activities) to speak of.

Now, I understand that most works set in high school keep the cast tight for an economy of characters. Still, even shows like Daria and series like the Harry Potter books (and movies) have a variety of classes that we see, so we get an idea of what school and the instructors are like, before expanding on these characters and their traits as the work goes on.

Consequently, when the science teacher position basically turns into this series "Defense Against The Dark Arts" position, the high turnover becomes even more glaring when there are only so many instructors that we know.

And her little sister Terra has been decanted and is trying to kill her. My Thoughts: I really enjoyed these, even with all the teen drama and angst and hormones. However, I did find that about 1 manga a day was all I could handle. I read volumes 6 & 7 together and by the end of volume 7 I was almost ready to quit :-) Count Bruckenstein is a great comedy villain. When Shiei draws him in chibi form, I want to laugh my head off. His wife, Elyse, on the other hand, is a true villain. Cold, calculating and pure evil. The inclusion of Terra at the end of volume 10 is great. It helps to know that volume 11 is the last volume in the series. "

the first 3 volumes of Amazing Agent Luna. Ameri-manga. Testtube girl/superagent goes to highschool to find out what stereotypical villain is up to. Funny. To bad library doesn't have more.

finishes up the schoolyear for Luna. Lots of turmoil among all involved. Ends with Luna's crush becoming pretty much the new badguy and his dad [the former badguy] becoming part of the team. This seemed a good place to end. It seemed the writing team was losing focus and not having a solid story to go with. I wouldn't want to see anymore volumes until they get things settled.

Title: Amazing Agent Luna #11 Series: Amazing Agent Luna Author: Nunzio DeFilippis & Christina Weir Artist: Shiei Rating: of 5 Battle Axes Genre: Manga Pages: 248 Synopsis: Luna is under attack from the Agency and the Knights. In a climactic battle, where Terra is trying to kill her, Luna saves Terra but is gravely injured. Jennifer goes off the rails and pretty much takes down the Agency and the Knights. Luna survives, Terra learns how to be a little girl and everyone pairs up appropriately for the ending. My Thoughts: It has been over a year since I read Vol #10. And that made this volume pretty good. This whole series is pretty saccharine so small doses worked best. But make no mistake, I enjoyed this series. Enough that I bought the whole thing. Everything ends up happily with several of the adult couples getting married and several of the teens becoming couples. Nothing surprising, nothing sad. Very inline with how the series has been. A little rushed considering how much they packed in, but surprisingly, it worked out pretty good. "½

This book starts a whole new adventure for Luna. The Count has moved in with Luna and Control, Control and the Dr are starting to have feelings for each other, there's a new girl at school that Jonah seems to like and Francesca and Luna begin to have problems because of all the secrets. There are new kids at school and there is a new knight that seems to be working against the agency.

Lots of new action in this book and lots of interpersonal drama but far and away the most interesting part of this book is that Luna begins to question Agency at the end. I can't wait to see what happens in the next volume.

So we spent the last two volumes of the series focusing on Luna adjusting to going to a regular high school, now we are focusing on Luna's case and the mysterious goings on at the school.

Still loving this series. Can't wait to keep reading it tonight.

In this volume Luna and Jonah team up to stop Oliver's father from getting the files on other students for Count Bruckenheim. We also finally find out that the agent who fought with control was Jonah's mother.

Luna is a spy that was born in a test tube and raised in a government lab to be the ultimate spy. Her newest mission forces her to go to high school, which will present more challenges then Luna expected. A fun, goofy spy series, which is my favorite kind. Love getting to see Agent Jennifer from the prequel all grown up.
