Practical Genealogy by Brian Sheffy is the newest of a long ling of "how-to" books for genealogy. The availability of records and even research techniques is changing rapidly so there is always need for new books. Sheffy has aimed this book to beginners with clear and simple descriptions of the basics for getting started without overwhelming the newcomer. One special strength deals with African American research which can be very difficult for beginners. It will be available on our Members Lending Library shelf.
