People are celebrated in our culture for accomplishing something special, like George Washington winning the Revolution. In the world of fantasy, Laura Sepesi, the author of the Kelmar Trilogy, creates a spectacular conclusion for the main character, Carmen Fox, whose destiny and purpose is fulfilled in saving magical Kelmar from the forces of evil. If you like powerful battle scenes with dynamic spells and charms, plus a brilliant story line woven around parliaments, pyramid cities and interaction with unicorns, dragons and the souls of destiny, add this one to your library because you won't be able to put it down. Book 3 is a real page turner, highly imaginative, where you visit another place and time. I am a huge fan of good over evil, reunions taking place in heaven and on earth. Laura Sepesi's writing will leave you speechless because this is not your typical "The Good Knight" and "The Evil Dragon" fantasy.

Wow... Courageous and Impressive! ***** stars!

I have heard many say that Fantasy writing is highly imaginative with the fantasy story being set in medieval times and is about castles, chargers, dragons, knights, potions, spells and wizards. Well, The Secrets of Kelmar begins with a great back story, just in case you have forgotten or didn't get a chance to read the first book because at the age of 15, Carmen's world changed dramatically.

This riveting fictional story of good that triumphs over evil, is brilliant in writing from the author's imagination. Laura Sepesi writes about good and evil appearing like two completely different entities but in many ways they're actually the same. The character names, along with unusual places, sets the stage for exciting adventures in the 3 realms, such as Merlin Cloud, the maker of Kelmar and Kelmarsia and Keltan, filled with immoral and corrupt souls.

Carmen's destiny is to discover and decipher the secrets to learn how to balance light and dark, to restore harmony. Seems like a very simple mission but the story moves along at a fast pave, with an incredible adventure of magic tunnels, an amulet of magical protection and the necessary disk for decoding. This 5* book is a real page turner. The messages of finding love from within, caring about how much family matters, strong bond of friendship, and fighting for our land to be protected ring loud and true. Oh yes, and there's an exciting ending, too!

I just couldn't put this one down. And when I did, my hubby picked it up and inhaled this one from cover to cover because it is awesome and so very cool. This book should be a movie and I wouldn't be at all surprised if my grandchildren see the heavenly Trilogy on the screen one day. I am so very proud of Laura and her accomplishments... One of my favorite quotes from the book: "Follow your heart," Kelmari declared to her guests, "and you shall never lose your way."

Laura Sepesi's Book I of the YA fantasy trilogy is a brilliant novel! It is a well written story that had me riveted from the beginning! The book begins with Carmen Fox, the main character who later learns she is chosen to be The Child of Destiny. In the magical world of Kelmar you will find animals talking with people. You will learn about the special bond between a Master and a Partner and meet the Souls of Destiny.

As with all good magical story plots, this novel is filled with exciting battles between the good Kelmarians and the evil magicons. You'll turn every page reading about the sword with red stones, feeling the Dragon's Claw near you and seeing crystals embedded in clay ceilings. Upon encountering The Dark Master, you will want to read til the very end to find out if Carmen defeats the dark sorcerer and if so, how does she do it? Laura wraps it up so well with this golden theme, "Fighting to protect what and who you love is true courage." I have a great respect for Laura and the power of her words that flow through her pen. I can't wait to read her next book. I highly recommend The Guardian of Kelmar to my friends. It is worth reading. It is truly worth buying. *****… (plus d'informations)
