Jugendstil in Niederösterreich par Ruth Schubert

I'm only giving this 3 1/2 because I kept getting the feeling that the pictures were thrown in rather randomly. They were often not of the things talked about in the text. Many were too small to see the details they were supposed to show, but the next page was a large picture that didn't show much of anything. Most of the pictures are good. It's lovely to see the houses and details. They just aren't really that related to the text.

Anyway, I hope we will be able to visit some of these places later this year.… (plus d'informations)

The trouble with reading a book like this one is that now I keep noticing Jugendstil details on the houses as we drive around Vienna.

This was not a great book 15 years ago. There are better books today with the additional advantage of being up-to-date.
