Anna Schachner

This is one of the best literary journal editions I've read of late. The poetry was particularly good, which always seems to be the weakest portion of these publications. Graham Hillard, with Snow Day, and Komal Mathew, with Everything I've Heard From the God of Nations, were standouts. Lisa Nikolidakis, in With Mercy to the Stars, tells a rich tale of a young Greek girl and a dancing bear who both dream of freedom. Mika Seifert"s Schubert in the Skin turns chamber music into a vampiric horror story. And Catharina Coenen studies PTSD in the German female population following World War II's German bombing campaign in the essay Dropped Stitches. This one is definitely worth seeking out - I'm looking forward to seeing if other issues produce the same quality.… (plus d'informations)
