Ivy Rose

Ooh, joins review team for the author's renamed TORR and forgets about it . . . reviews on the last date possible, so so so horrible of me, I know! But I LOVE the book, enough said? No? Yes? Find my review here soon, or I'm grounding myself from reading for a week.

My REAL review:

Genre: Historical, western, (somewhat non-fiction), fiction, and romance.

My Rating: 5 stars, this is WONDERFUL!!!

My Recommendation: 13/16 up because of something that the main characters go through, message me for more info if you feel the need but it's not something bad, just sad/hard.

My Thoughts: OH MY GOODNESS!!! This book was so wonderful! I love it, the fact that most of this happened is so neat and the story is so good, you need to read this book! Reading about a young girl who fell in love and married and as the couple lived through hardships, joyful accomplishments, sorrows, grief, and hope are all shared in the pages of this wonderful fictionalized account of the author's great great grandparents.

I've loved reading about the time period TORR is set during, this was no exception of other books I enjoyed like this one. I've had it on my TBR list for a good while and when Hailey Rose asked on some social media for reviewers I was so excited and signed up instantly - I'm so happy I did, a perfect summer or anytime read!

I love love love this book! Ivy Rose is an inspiring, compelling writer! While I can see room for improvement with the writing, story-wise, this book is AMAZING! I mean seriously, a baby, a missionary nurse, and medical issues, what could go wrong?

The description was stellar, the characters were amazing and compelling, and it was just amazing! I wish there was a sequel, or it was a series!!! Well done, Ivy Rose!! :)

I really really enjoyed this book! I love historical fiction, especially set in the 1800s, so this was right up my alley! I finished it in about 2 days time, and cannot wait for book 2! What made this book even cooler in my mind, was that it was actually about the author's relatives. (great-grandmother, maybe?)

My one and only critique is that the characters didn't have a lot of depth. I took me a little bit to really get into the story, and even so, they just weren't very well-rounded.

But otherwise, I loved it! I loved the sweet, innocent romance, the close family ties, and the old West! A great read for anyone! Kudos Ivy Rose!… (plus d'informations)
