Ink & Incantation: An Enchanting YA Anthology Featuring Books & Libraries, #1), my second read from author E.V. Everest. After reading Seven Crowns (Bellaton, #1), I was up for another read from this author. Enjoyable, well-written collection of 33 YA Sci-Fi and Fantasy short reads from a group of well-read authors with links to that author at the end of their contribution. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Futuristic Los Angeles offers new technology which allows the “deep state” to control the populations on various conditions. People are categorized by measures using futuristic brain mapping technology. Although, with every new technology there are downfalls associated with the emergence of them. No technology is perfect as you will learn. Neither are the people. What happens when technology cannot find aberrations within a society? Amber rose offers up an action filled story of a young woman finding her way in this ever changing society. A society where no one seems to be the people who they say they are – including herself. If you love science fiction and ‘out of the box’ thinking, then this book is for you.

I won this book from first reads. I loved it, I thought it was such an original book. I think that the reason that I loved it so much was that it wasn't a romance novel. A lot of young adult novels have lots of romance in them and I'm not really a fan of romance. I really liked Jo, I love the idea that art can make a real difference in someones life. I cant wait for the second and third books.
