Courte biographie: David R Roberts was born in Stafford, England in 1948. He has a first class honours degree in Sociology and economic & Social History from Loughborough University and a research MPhil in Social Analysis from the University of Bradford. After a long teaching career in further and higher education, during which he wrote and edited a number of bestselling government & politics textbooks, he is now the author of books on aspects of UK social history. He is particularly interested in exploring links between local/family histories and national/global structures and developments.
