This is Ferzanna Riley's hearbreaking story of growing up as a Muslim woman in Pakistan, and then in England. She was never able to get along with her father and was constantly beaten. She was bullied at school. The family moved to England to gain more opportunites and for a time Ferzanna was happy there as she had been able to move away from her family, with her sister. But then the two of them were tricked into going back to Pakistan for what they thought was a short time only to discover that they were to be there until husbands were found for them and when they would not accept the husbands chosen things only got worse. I shall not reveal more of the story. It is enough to say that it was a good read one that I could not put down. It is a shocking story but I was driven to keep reading to find out what happened to her and how she survived. Not as good a read as Infidel but still well worth reading… (plus d'informations)
