Anna Bourke Richardson

This was an interview of Anna Bourke Richardson done in the 1950s. Her memory was amazing, and she was able to recall a number of events from the late 1890s, including a perceived insult done to her when she was four years of age.

There are wonderful glimpses into life in the west but unfortunately the interview was too brief. I can't imagine why the interviewer did not try to get more information from this fascinating woman who not only was stationed at various western forts, but who attended Radcliff and served as a translator in WWI.

Those interested in John G. Bourke will no doubt still wish to read this short document as it provides a different sort of insight into his personality.
