In this book in the Bumba Books Nutrition Matters, readers learn what the healthy foods are and why we should eat them. They also discuss why nutrition matters. Each page lists a different vegetable and what vitamins we are getting when we eat them. I would recommend this for younger children. It is a first introduction to vegetables. It would work for a classroom and small group. I like how the color of the vegetable is also the color of that page or pages.

In this book in the Bumba Books series the author talks about the different types of dump trucks and the jobs they do on a daily basis. It is pretty basic and the photographs are real to life and little ones will love the colorful pictures and the big bold text. There are little questions to make them think about the job that construction vehicles do on a daily basis. I would recommend this for any collection or readers that have a love of construction vehicles.

When I read "A Wish and A Prayer" by Beth Reinke I was really impressed with the way she described the difference between making wishes and the power of prayer. For many years my husband and I have raised our daughter to understand that wishes are make believe but that God answers our requests. To find a book that expertly and entertainingly shows children this very concept is truly exciting!
