Wow! Another intriguing action story!



A small backstory without giving away spoilers:

Vampire hunter, Anton Yoska is back with his teammates Quintz and the bear, Samson as they journey on their quest to find out what happened to his daughter, Gretchen.

Anton and crew know that the only way find out what happened to Gretchen is to enlist the help of the vampire Terek Modjeski and they know it will not be easy to extract the information, but they will do whatever it takes to get it even if it means a little vampire torture - whatever works.

Love this series and reading it from the first book [b:Crimson Siege|46202117|Crimson Siege (Blood Riders, #1)|Jay Raven|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1559932284l/46202117._SY75_.jpg|61221536] gives more of background on Anton and company along with other characters that come into play with this series including: Crown Prince Leopold, Tomas, and Julius Gant along with the vampire villains which are Terek Modjeski and Sabina Modjeski.

The characters just all mesh together within this series and brings forth the focus of the storyline as it moves along at a fast pace. There is quite a bit of suspense, mystery, and action that abounds within these pages which kept me on my toes as I didn't know what would happen next!

The author, [a:Jay Raven|3153810|Jay Raven|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1520876151p2/3153810.jpg] has a writing style that just grabs you from the opening chapter and holds you in suspense throughout the storyline! Looking forward to the next installment.

Vampire hunter, Anton Yoska is back in the second installment of the Blood Riders series! The book slammed me right back into the storyline as the first chapter grabbed me from the beginning and hurled me all the way to the end of the book!



Anton with his companions, Quintz, Toby, and the bear Samson set out on an adventure after Crown Prince Leopold drops a quest in their laps for them to locate a deadly weapon called "Daylight's Kiss" which has the ability to kill vampires instantly which up to this point is considered a myth.

What starts out as a fools errand becomes anything but as everyone wants to get their hands on the weapon including the vampires. Anton and his crew are in a desperate search for the weapon and have to battle enemies galore as they are in a dead on race to get their hands on the weapon.

Does Anton and his companions find it in time? What is the weapon exactly? How does it kill vampires? No spoilers here as you will just have to read the book!

This second book is full of action, mystery, deception, and nail biting suspense as the book takes off quickly as soon as Anton and his crew are thrown into the quest to find the weapon. Fast paced, lots of twists and turns, as the book takes off into a exciting unknown adventure.

The gothic horror theme of the book just wraps itself around you as it transports you right into the days of old along with horse carriages and the historical atmosphere of days gone by.

Wow! This was a cool action packed vampire book!

Our hero is Lord Marshal, Anton Yoska who is the marshal of the town of Brejnei which is located in the badlands of Transylvania. Bounty hunters arrive in the town with a very interesting prisoner, the vampire prince Stephan Modjeski. Anton is beyond upset when he finds out who they captured as he knows that he will be having a very bad day when the Modjeski vampire clan arrive to rescue the prince.

The Modjeski vampires are considered very dangerous when you piss them off and Anton fears that when they arrive all hell will break loose. Which that is exactly what happens and Anton has to not only protect his own family, he has to protect the town. Does the town survive the attack? Who lives? Who dies? No spoilers here as you will just have to read the book.

The book starts out just a little slow as it forms the characters and the storyline, but once it gets going, it is like a train with no brakes as the momentum keeps rolling along till it is at full throttle with steam blowing out of the engine of this book!

At 50% I was having a hard time even laying this book down. At 70% the kindle was attached to my hand as I would take the book with me into the dining room so I could eat and read at the same time. The last 30% of the book I finished last night before bed as I knew I would not be able to sleep till it was completed and I stayed up till after midnight completing the story. New author and new vampire series! Looking forward to the second book in this series! Five stars for this one!… (plus d'informations)

Short, dark and sweet. These tales take on all sorts of witchcraft and sorcery in a way which sometimes leaves chills, food for thought or simply a thrill. Each tale centers around witchcraft, but that's where the similarities end. The time periods cover everything from knights to the wild west, and the witches' deeds are everything from self-protective to simply evil.

The tales are nicely written, each one drawing into its very own setting and characters. It was impossible to guess where each one would lead thanks to the twists and turns. While a couple stories resonated with me more than others, each one had something intriguing about it and was fun to read.
I can only recommend this to fans of witchcraft, sinister twists, and spells which stay with you long after you close those pages.
