This book mentions the five senses but talks about the eyes (sight) and ears (sound.) It describes these two senses and relates them to different animals. It helps the reader to understand the importance of both senses and gives examples with different types of animals. I liked the book and its illustrations. The pictures show real animals up close and the different types of eyes and ears. It helps to introduce the reader to these two senses.
This book is well organized and flows well. It explains each sense one at a time and gives easy examples of why animals look and hear differently. This book is accurate with the facts and pictures it used.
This book is not advanced enough to teach in a high school Biology class; however, if I taught elementary science, then I think it would be an interesting way of explaining our abilities and disadvantages in seeing and hearing.

Beautifully photographed book with interesting facts about animals and their appendages. Would be a good book for a science or biology class when talking about habitats and functions of animals.

Good book about many different animals and how their eyes and ears help them survive and know what is happening around them. A neat fact from this book is that most animals are color blind. Great science book!
