The preface by the Papal See states that this is a most important work - but it is meant for those destined for sainthood, not the average man. It is a discussion on how to pray in such a way that communion with God takes place, and for a few minutes the believer is in touch with the divine spirit - apparently a mind boggling experience for some. There are excerpts from the writings of many divines, with prayer strategy described. This is so far beyond anything I have attempted, that I don't know where to begin.
