This informational book about salamanders is extremely well organized, which is why I liked it. It begins with some in-depth information on salamander characteristics. It then goes on to explain how they're endangered and how to help. It's organized into three chapters ("A World of Salamanders," "Threats to Salamanders," and "People are Helping") and the paragraphs include bolded words/concepts. Additionally, it has little blurbs for additional information on the page, but in a way thats consistent with the rest of the book's format. Sometimes these can be a bit unappealing or overwhelming, so it impressed me in this way. It has all real photographs, which is an essential component of a nonfiction informational book, and has a glossary at the end for all the bolded terms so its readers can revisit if necessary. It even has a web site, index, and other book recommendations for more information if desired. I liked the last chapter a lot because it's a call to action, which isn't as common in books as it should be. Its organized and engaging enough to where readers really want to take action. The author even uses a chart at one point, which I found to be a useful tool for comprehending the information on the specific page.… (plus d'informations)
