The In-Between Years: The MisFit book 3 by AB Plum continues this crazy life of these kids. They are just turning 14 and already they have killed plenty and have no problem with it, they have been killing since about 9 yrs old. This book, well, the sh#t hits the fan! Boy, did not expect this! Wow!
This novel is a deep dive into the machinations of a psychopath. Michael Romanov is profoundly proud of two things, his Einstein IQ and causing the deaths of relatives. The too-smart-for-his-own-good Michael fell for a none-too-clever ruse. Both he, and his equally contemptible sidekick, Dimitri, get snatched off the streets and are whisked away by a trio of thugs. This is where the books shines as Michael tries to survive by outwitting his captors. This is where school is in session and we learn what makes a psychopath ticks. The Lost Days (The MisFit #2) by A.B. Plum this continues the story of the crazy kid and in this book someone finds out what he has done and kidnaps him and his friend. It is a short but interesting read. Again, I think this kid is turning into more and more Dexter material as he grows older.

The characters are strangely compelling in their ruthlessness and you'll find yourself cheering for them, even if they are nothing like your traditional heroes.
A really breathtaking read. Don't miss it!
