Learning ballet can be complicated, especially when you are a vampire, but with some determination, our heroine can do it.
"Everyone has to come to my party," said Moose.
But when Groundhog sees his shadow and dives back into the ground, there's no way he's coming to Moose's party on February 14. Moose and the other animals (Bunny, Porcupine, and Squirrel) realize that Groundhog is afraid of shadows, and work to show him all the ways that shadows are wonderful and fun: shadow puppets, silhouettes, dancing shadows and could shadows. The friends lure Groundhog out, and they all have a wonderful time. When Groundhog reemerges, ready for St. Patrick's Day, Bunny is hard at work painting eggs for Easter.
A perfect storytime book for Valentine's Day, Groundhog Day, or any day. Denise's warm-toned illustrations are marvelous; I especially love Moose's knitted sweater.… (plus d'informations)

Pale, black-clad Vampirina dreams of being a dancer, so she finds an evening class and does her best. It doesn't go great at first, but "Whatever happens, don't be discouraged. The road to ballerinadom can be bumpy, but it doesn't matter if you take one giant leap or many tiny steps, as long as you are moving toward your goal." Vampirina practices and improves, becoming a real ballerina. The illustrations provide a huge helping of humor.
