A super cute story that can be read in one sitting. A perfect, fun read for kids

The writing needs more finesse. The events were loosely sewn together, and I felt like a child wrote this book because children are not quite able to build suspense and make the journey just as important as the event itself. There wasn't any valuable lesson other than "you can get out of any situation with a magical bag and therefore don't need to think about consequences." Unclear is also why this monkey tribe was this intellectually advanced. At first, I thought it was customary in the story that animals could talk, but once humans came into the story, it obviously wasn't. And where did the magic bag come from? I would love to thank LibraryThing for allowing me to win a copy of Roland Finds a Magic Stone by Jon Oregon. It was such a cute little story and I know once my daughter is able to read by herself, she will have an easy time reading this which is what I love. It is a great one sitting book if your kids want you to read them a fun and imaginative story.

A lovely children's story, this book is imaginative and thoughtful. Kindness is one of the central themes. Possibly a higher rating if book was either illustrated or the text/story was expanded. Overall, a fun read, best for 7-10 year olds.
