Maureen O'Danu

As the author, I'm clearly biased, but I love this story. The characters move me, the plot interests me, and when the story is finished, I want more. It's great for reading aloud to a child or an adult, but has the darkness of "Brothers Grimm" in the fable rather than the sweetness of "Hans Christian Anderson".

This is the first of a long series of books set in the Cat Confederation universe, each a short read suitable for a bedtime story or a quick break at work.
