Another BDSM smut in the series that can and should be avoided. There is no story at all but just the BDSM scenes. Instead grab one of the good books of the same author.

It's kind of irritating. Although first book of the series lacked characterization, there was a very good story. This second book is trying to build a character, but completely lacks a story. It's more like the whole book is written for building a character that would be used in a story, but then it ends abruptly. As I have read later books I can assure that you can freely skip this part, and move on to others.

The premise of the book was good, and it could be used to write a story very similar to the first part. However, C.L. Northbridge failed to bring the same fast-paced-action he so masterfully delivered in the first book. Furthermore, this story has way too much unncessary interludes using the characters of Nicole-Sam, which has nothing to do the with the main storyline. If you read this book, you can freely skip the passages involving these characters, and you won't miss a thing. Then several of the scenes are simple repetitions of the previous book. I won't recommend this book.… (plus d'informations)

As C L Northbridge is pretty weak in characterization, this series has started feeling repetition of the previous books. But what's really bad here in this part, the story could have been actually written similar to the first book, involving fast-paced-action integrated in the storyline. Sadly, it was skipped, and this kind of made it pretty boring read overall. You can get it for collection purpose, but I'm sure you won't find it as good as the first and third book of the series.
