It begins when a fifteen-year-old Martha Jane Canary takes her little sister begging for food at night while her parents were out. This is not a children's book by any means. She is fearless and feisty You read how she got her nickname.
She is fearless and feisty. She befriends people no one else ever would. She finds work in a place you would never guess, instead of going to school. She took things into her own hands when her parents couldn't. I don't dare give any details away. It would take all of the fun and suspense out of such a grand book! You just have to read this book. You will be so glad you did.
Mr. Bryan Ney and Word Slinger gave me an e-ARC of this book to read in exchange for my honest review.
