Cuarenta Hadith Qudsi se considera un volumen complementario y se ha impreso en un formato similar con el texto árabe original junto con la traducción al inglés. -
The hadith qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet divinely communicated to him. The present collection has been compiled from all the available books of hadith. The forty chosen here are all well authenticated and present many of the doctrinal, devotional and ethical elements of Islam. A scholarly introduction deals fully with the subject and shows the way in which the hadith qudsi differs from the Qur'an and from the Prophetic hadith. This selection and translation has been made by the translators of An-Nawawi's Forty Hadith. Forty Hadith Qudsi is regarded as a companion volume and has been printed in similar format with the original Arabic text given alongside the English translation.

El Imam an-Nawawi reunió su colección de cuarenta y dos hadices junto con el mí­nimo absoluto de fiqh y el comentario necesario para que las personas no malinterpreten su importancia. Ibn 'Uyaynah dijo: "Los hadices son engañosos, excepto para aquellos que tienen fiqh". Ibn Wahb dijo: "Todo hombre de hadiz que no tiene un Imam en la vida está extraviado". De la gran cantidad de colecciones de cuarenta hadices, la de Imam an-Nawawi es sin duda la más famosa y la más perdurable. Esta es, a nuestro entender, la primera traducción completa de ese trabajo al inglés, por lo que la llamamos "The Forty Hadith completa" de Imam an-Nawawi. -
Imam an-Nawawi assembled his collection of forty-two ahadith together with the absolute minimum of fiqh and commentary necessary for people not to misunderstand their import. Ibn 'Uyaynah said, "Ahadith are misleading except to those who have fiqh." Ibn Wahb said, "Every man of hadith who has no Imam in fiqh is astray." Of the huge number of collections of forty hadith, the one by Imam an-Nawawi is undoubtedly the most famous and most enduring. This is, to our Knowledge, that work's first full translation into English and so we have called it "The complete Forty Hadith" of Imam an-Nawawi.

Esta colección de cuarenta hadices de uno de los compiladores de hadices más famosos se considera generalmente como la antologí­a más popular y la mejor introducción al estudio de los dichos del Profeta que, junto con el Corán, contienen las enseñanzas esenciales del Islam. El original en árabe se imprimió junto con la traducción al inglés para el beneficio de las personas con conocimientos de árabe. La traducción, realizada por dos académicos que trabajan en estrecha colaboración, combina precisión con legibilidad. -

En un mundo temporario nadie es inmortal. Solo la persona inteligente pone el más allá ante sí. Por eso el Imam al-Nawawi (d.676 A u/1277 C.E.) puso esa noble meta ante el. El colectó muchas tradiciones del Profeta Muhammad (pbuh) y lo hizo un libro que de seguro ayudará al lector a una vida fructífera en este mundo tanto como en el más allá. Su libro, es uno de los libros mejor escritos en el campo de modales y moralidad Islámica basado solamente en la tradición del Profeta Muhammad (saws). El libro trata el tama de las personas en su vida individual y su vida social.

El presente libro, una selección de Hadith Qudsi con una traducción al inglés, es un volumen complementario de nuestra traducción de los Cuarenta Hadith del Imam y Nawawi. Pensamos que podrí­a ser útil presentar el libro con un breve estudio sobre Hadith Qudsi (Hadith sagrado), sus libros fuente, los temas tratados y las consideraciones tomadas en cuenta al hacer nuestra selección y preparar la traducción. -
The present book, a selection of Hadith Qudsi with a translation into english, is a companion volume to our transaltion fo the Forty Hadith of the Imam an - Nawawi. We thought it might be useful to preface the book with a short study about Hadith Qudsi (sacred Hadith), their source books, the subjects treated, and the considerations taken into account when making our selection and preparing the translation.
