This book desperately needed an editor. Its stream-of-consciousness style makes it rally hard to figure out what the author is trying to say as it jumps around from topic to topic in a single paragraph. It’s also full of really obvious grammatical errors, like repeatedly using “apart” for “a part” and other word choices that make the author look like she doesn’t know how to write. An editor would have caught a lot of them and made it more readable. Unfortunately an editor couldn’t do much for the heaping dose of orientalist stereotypes, seven veils nonsense, and ‘ancient dance’ malarky. This is definitely one to skip.… (plus d'informations)
