The poetry of Muddupalani blew me away and I believe Sandhya Mulchandani's translation is excellent. I acknowledge better translations may exist, but this version blew my mind.
Muddupalani's text is raw and powerful, and she holds nothing back. Authorities banned her work for many decades, which is a shame and reflects our society and not on the authorship.
This work is not just sensual in a physical sense. The emotions are there for anyone to see and the powerful writing will keep you reading.
