I obtained this free ARC in exchange for an honest review, although it was confusing at first, the book grabbed my attention when Amelhir, a scientist, was arrested an accused of treason. Citizens of Fiea had had enough of the corrupt emperor and his henchmen where the law was unknown to them and they committed atrocities of every kind. Leaders of the Fiean populace in the city of Olmonin gathered together secretly to keep the growing chaos under control while they mastered a plan for independence from their oppressors.… (plus d'informations)

Interesting concept. I found it difficult to get into the story at first due to an abundance of difficult to pronounce names that took me out of the action. Once I got past that the story was fast paced and interesting. Very much a political/changing of the status quo kind of tale. If that kind of story (with a few elves and dwarves thrown) in appeals to you you'll enjoy this quick read.

I received a free copy of this book as part of librarything.com Giveaway program.

I won this as a e-book for my laptop from this site as part of a giveaway. I enjoyed reading it. It had a good story to it. It had a good variety of characters in it.

Aegras knew he must get his twin sister and as many of his people to safety, but once he heard in his mind that his father saying to run and Thakoth's evil laughter when he slit his father's throat, they rushed down streets and around corners with the Tularain enemy breathing down their necks! Then they were saved by raiders that spirited them away, moving in shadows and staying in safe places for a while sometimes with only hours of rest before leaving ounce again. Before long, they were separated. She was taken to the raiders base where she learned how to fight and get her revenge on Thrakoth and kill him slowly.… (plus d'informations)
