Handtalk School par Mary Beth Miller
This book contained real images, which I loved, and very few written words. The main concept of this book was to showcase sign language and how people ca use it to communicate. In my life, I have heard others say things like "if you are deaf you can't......" but this book and others prove otherwise. The characters in this book are doing many things like communicating, getting ready, going to art class, and playing sports. These are all things that people say they "can't" because they are deaf. Having an exceptionality does not mean that you can't do things, but may go about them differently, and that's okay!… (plus d'informations)
This book really shins light of the fact that just because kids are different, everyone is still the same. This would be a great story to use during a lesson plan that highlights children with exceptionalities.
this is a wonderful informational book about sign language. This book focuses on a group of students at school who can only use sign language to communicate. This book is a great learning tool because it teaches the readers common language and other words that would interest them. This book informs young children about sign language and teaches them some also.
What an awesome way to include deaf students! I would've love to have seen a play done in sign language!
