This is a powerful tale of the fate of a young woman who finds herself enmeshed in a web of like-minded powerful women who take delight in the domination of such young women, particularly those who have a tendency to submission to erotic liaisons with other women, and who come to enjoy, even crave, severe and oft-repeated chastisements. This book falls into the erotic discipline category of erotic fiction, and although it is set in Victorian times, and its principal female character is originally from Scotland, its setting is in America. Rose Tillsby finds herself employed there by a stern disciplinarian, Mrs Binch, whose roving-handed and excitable husband soon finds himself even more chastised than Rose. The overall scenario is therefore one in which the discipline enthusiast is likely to savour, even though in practice the action is primarily F/F and F/M. It is unfortunate, however, that this wide-ranging potential is under-exploited. The plot tends to meander, and at the end almost loses its way in a lengthy sapphic initiation, without providing a satisfactory resolution. However, there are many stimulating scenes, overlaid with considerable tension regarding which rear might be the next one to be the subject of stinging criticism.… (plus d'informations)
