A well written flora, this book takes on the enormous task of providing a key to the plants of the Great Plains. The descriptions are very helpful in verifying your identification, particularly since they include a description of the range where each species is usually found. A reference that any taxonomist should have in their library, even if they don't work in the Great Plains, since many of the plants described have a much wider distribution.
