The book is written by a preacher-friend of Lakin's and contains numerous scripture quotations, several message outlines, as well as a few messages (by both the author and B.R.).

For those who know very little of the life or work of B.R. Lakin, this book is a decent introduction. It does contain less historical and biographical information than the title would lead you to expect. There are, however, numerous photos throughout the entire work. Even though the photos are b/w only, the sheer volume of them makes this book a keeper.

This book is written in an exortational style. I would not reccomend it to those that do not consider themselves to be "Christians." I also would not recommend it to those interested in amotional thrill ride; the book's "reading experience" is fairly even keeled -- even while reading through the sermons. I would highly recommend it to any that consider themself a "fundamentalist" wanting to know more about great preachers of the past.… (plus d'informations)
