I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

Wow. I loved this book so much! I hadn't read the first one so I was a bit worried I wouldn't know what was going on, but this book acts as a standalone even though it is the second in the series. I really can't wait to go back and read the first one in the series (Look After You) now too! I really hope the next book has more of Sebastian and Addison too.

This book was so emotionally powerful. Sebastian is a man who has been on three tours in Afghanistan, but that does not break him. Ava does. He had it all worked out to have the perfect life with Ada, but a few things happen to Ava while he is still away. The love and heartbreak he has for Ava is exactly how you feel when you lose someone you love so much.

This novel definitely pulled at my heartstrings several times. I really loved Addison. We are similar in age, and I know how she feels about the dating scene. She seems like such a great recovery counselor too, and she loves her job. Addison is so selfless, but Sebastian does not realize for awhile, that he is as well.

I love Sebastian, he is a perfect book boyfriend, except for maybe a few scenes, but you can always find it in your heart to forgive him. Elena did such a great job writing this. Sebastian didn't seem like some guy we dream about that doesn't truly exist...he is very real. He sometimes is a jerk, and says a lot of guy things that make women roll their eyes. He doesn't want to be in a relationship like so many guys these days, she really nailed it with his character.

I have to admit too, I have a soft spot for Seattle, so since the book was located there it definitely made my day reading it. I read this fast, and I kept telling myself I would go to bed after one more chapter. However, I ended up staying up until 3am finishing the book, then another hour was spent just thinking about how amazing it was. I am definitely a fan of Elena Matthews now for sure!

*I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review*

After reading Look After You, I was excited to read Look After Me.

I knew from the very first page that Sebastian was going to break my heart. And he did! Look After Me is full of pain, heartache, addiction & hope.

From the first few pages.. I felt myself hating Ava! Even though I saw what she went through in Look After You.. I still hated her! How could she just cheat on him while hes fighting in the war? Really?!

Ava breaking up with him sent him back to Cocaine. It was awful! He is so broken! I just wanted to hug him! He is such a sweet, caring, funny & gorgeous guy..and she just leaves him!

In the last book I was trying to pick sides.. but after reading this book.. I'm on Sebastians side. How could you not be?

Blurb:
The moment Sebastian Gilbert watches his fiancée declare her undying love to another man, his entire life changes.

Forever.

Unable to cope with the loss of his fiancée, his job… his life, he turns to the one thing that will help ease the pain.

Cocaine.

Seven long months later…

Sebastian has checked out of rehab, but after three months locked behind those doors, away from the outside world, he’s struggling to adapt to his new life. His thoughts are clouded with anger… bitterness…

Cravings.

When he reaches out to his drug counselor from rehab, his one and only lifeline, he begins to find hope.

Addison Scott is sweet, smart, and understands him in a way that no one else does. As she helps Sebastian rebuild his life, their friendship grows.

But lines become blurred…

Sebastian’s broken heart is slowly mending, but will letting Addison in shatter it once more?

When he meets Addison.. I start to get hopeful that she can mend his broken heart. I loved the chemistry between them..they were perfect for each other!

I really loved this book! I loved everything about it! It was definitely a book that took you on a ride through his highs & lows!

This was my first book from Elena Matthews. I really liked it!

Blurb:
The birth of your firstborn child is supposed to be the best day of your life, a joyous occasion. Well that’s what twenty-eight year old Ava Jacobson thought. That is until her life takes a drastic turn for the worse and her daughter is born three months earlier than planned, weighing only two pounds, two ounces.

A distraught Ava is thrown into the deep end of motherhood and instead of being able to hold her baby like other moms, she has to sit back and watch her daughter fight for her life in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit, while her fiancé, Sebastian Gilbert is in the midst of a messy war in Afghanistan. Ava is left to pick up the pieces with the help of her only friend, Caleb Summers.

When her vulnerable state hits an all time low, she finds solace in an unexpected pair of intense green eyes. Eyes that belong to her daughter's doctor, Ashton Bailey, and she falls, like she has never fallen before. However, for the sake of Sebastian she desperately tries to fight against her newfound feelings for Ashton, but eventually the pull between the two is so strong that it is impossible for her to stay away.

Then when Ava is convinced things can't possibly get any worse, a cloud of blackness closes in on her as the secret demons of her past come back to haunt her, with news that will irreversibly shake her entire world forever.

As Ava’s roller coaster ride she calls life begins to circle the drain, she quickly learns that even through the darkness of evil, there is always that one person who will look after you and have the ability to pull you away from the brink of no return, when nobody else can.

**********
I felt so bad for Ava.. for everything that shes been through. I wanted to stop reading when the parts from her past returned. It was just awful! Having to go through something like that is horrible!

While Sebastian is away in Afghanistan fighting for our country. Ava has her best friend Caleb to help her through the tough times until she completely falls head over heels for her little girl Lily-Mai's doctor. Right off the bat you can feel the palpable chemistry between Ava & Dr. Ashton Bailey.

While I understand she was alone with her baby in NICU.. I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach the whole time they were messing around because she was still with Sebastian. I've read a lot of books, and suprisingly I haven't read any where theres cheating of this ...magnitude. Personally, I think its wrong. I'm pretty sure my heart broke when Sebastian found out.

Individually I loved all the characters. All three guys were totally swoonworthy I think. But when you put them all together I felt like I was picking sides.

I have to say that while I'm against cheating but I really enjoyed the book.

Look After You is a very well written book and I can't wait to read Look After Me!
