Summary: This book started out with two twin sisters living together. One married and moved out leaving the other to find a roommate. She put a add in the paper to find someone just like her. After interviewing numerous people that she did not like she decided that she doesn’t need anyone just like her. The next person that interviewed she let move in.
Personal reflection: This story makes me think of how all the kids in my high school class differed. We were dressed to the things we did in our leisure time. Yet, all of us got along pretty good and lived every single day with each other for a long time. Even though there was so much diversity in my grade we all enjoyed the class we graduated with.
Classroom Extension Ideas: I would like to have the children draw a picture of everyone who lives in their house. I would also let the children create a chart of all the kids in class and have different categories along the top of the chart and give each student a check for each category they fit.
