Moon Breaker by Matthew Marchitto

In a secluded Valley there lives a tribe of people. Some of them have a "gift". Young Koll is one of them, he has the gift to move stones and earth with his mind. Koll must take his Fathers place as Mookwarden, and hunt a dangerous Stone Eater. This is a dangerous task, and most thing he will not make it back to the Valley alive.

A fast paced well written story. I liked the originality of the story, roll is brave and very likable. He faces many dangers. There is a lot of action, interesting people. I liked the camaraderie, the family bond and the intense pace of the story.

Although this is a short story, a lot is told on the pages of this fascinating, fun, adventurous story. I read in anticipation, waiting and hoping that roll would achieve his goal. I recommend Moon Breaker to Y/A and Adult readers who love a great fantasy/adventure. I have to add the cover art was very "eye catching". I liked the cover, it captures the "thrill" of this wonderful story.
