The red flags on this man are certainly red flagging.

I can't help but ignore the very loud read flags of the creation of this couple. However, the trope of "touch her and die" simply hits a cord in my soul and I can't stop my self from just devouring the story. Eva and Derek are truly made for each other and you can't help but cheer them on as a reader. I almost wanted more out the ending... not that it wasn't enough, but I literally just wanted the story to keep going. Additionally for a dark romance, I felt as though the violence and gore was not too much and so it was all very palatable (I would alway read trigger warnings for your own preferences). I can't wait to read the next book in the series!… (plus d'informations)

I absolutely devoured this book in one afternoon. Tempted by Blood is high octane adrenaline! Think Mr. and Mrs. Smith but in book format. Tempted by Blood will have you on the edge of your seat and ignoring real life!

Silas and Leni may have met under unusual circumstances, but they are perfect for each other. To quote Leni "I'm so glad I was chosen to be the one to ki!! you." Hard to believe they went from Leni sta&&ing a fork in Silas's thigh to "No. I sta&&ed you twice and tried to shoot you, and yet here you are, holding my hair as I vomit my life out."

The only downside I have to this book is that I have finished it and now have to wait for the next book in this series. Luckily Silas and Leni will live rent free in my mind.

I don't know where to start with this book.

While the premise and the characters sounded fascinating and the whole trope drew me to the book, there was nothing in the book - be it characters or storyline - that could keep my interest. Honestly, I skimmed over the book and considered DNF'ing the book altogether.

This book had every trope I love - a morally grey male with red flags flashing around him such as obsessive and stalkerish with a touch-her-and-die attitude. All the red flags we love from our male lead from a dark romance. Derek is a syndicate crime boss that sought out his father and literally killed him, but not before catching sight of Eva and promising his father, before death, that he would be corrupting the girl. I don't remember if he was the one who sent the mail to Eva but of course, if he did because of reasons to start up the plotline.

Eva, on the other hand, is a detective. A girl that seemed so badass in the beginning but was more interested in the "monstrous cock" between Derek's legs. There is nothing interesting about this female. She is pretty much most of the architect of what most females are supposed to be in dark romances. Much like them, she fails in this category. She's dumb and she should be doing her job as a cop and reporting and yet, she doesn't. I don't know how the hell she got her job as a detective, but I believe it was through the Cracker Jack Box.

As for the plot, it gets pretty much lost somewhere in there. I mean, it is there but you have to really dig to find it. It does eventually show up with a less-than-stellar ending.

I don't know if I will continue with this series, but who knows?

Final Thought:

If you love dark romances filled with morally grey male leads and sometimes dumb female leads, then this might be the series for you.

This book started out strong and I was hooked. I definitely felt the chemistry between Derek and Eva. Although, I did feel like Eva feel too quickly for Derek being someone who is a detective. I thought, she would be a bit more cautious of strangers. Yet, at the same time I can't really blame her as Derek instantly oozed appeal that I was drawn to him right away as well.

Derek may have seemed like a villain but there is more to him than first appearances. He is complex. Learning about his past helped to better understand why he did the things he did. He really had genuine feelings for Eva. Their attraction to one another is sizzling. They shared some very steamy scenes. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.… (plus d'informations)
