As a former history major who now works in academia, this book gave me hope for the future. To be fair, it's somewhat dated now, with the AI and chatGPT advancing the technology conversation beyond mere algorithms, but the main point still stands. Critical thinking and the connections it allows people to form are not easily (and may never) be replicated by computers. These are the skills one learns by studying the humanities and social sciences, and they enrich our lives and can be vital to business success and understanding the world we live it.
