Just the book to read in a Canadian winter. This is not the sort of journey I would choose to make, enduring cold, wet, wintery days at the height of summer, living on the edge of disaster among fields of ice that could crush one's boat and oneself at any moment. However it is a good read about an adventure to achieve a first in sailing the North West Passage.
