This book is a very informational book for kids about trees. It's not overly engaging as it is mainly just facts about the trees, but nonetheless it is very helpful. Kids would want to read this book if they were learning about trees. It is great for sight words and for simple fact activities.

This book has some of the best illustrations I've ever seen in a children's book. The story brings to light the life of a tree and the importance of protecting them. It might be a little controversial for some classroom because it carries a strong "tree hugging" message. I think children would love the story however.

This book is about a tree and its long life. It has seen and heard all of the things of the forest around it. One day, it hears a bulldozer and wonders if its life will be over. Luckily, a group of children come to stop the people trying to destroy the forest.

The pictures are beautiful and the message is ten times as beautiful. I read this book during Arbor Day, for Girl Scouts and at school. It's a must-have for anyone who loves nature.
