This wasn't for me at all.
This is my first book by this author so im not sure of her style but to me it felt a bit YA bit with a sex scene.
Tbh a Hero or heroine having a relationship with one sibling then the other is not my fav troupe.
Alot of the story is spent preadult life so it felt to me like childish swabbles over the heroine.
Then a decision is made but I felt it was a cliche ending.

Spoiler for ending.

One sibling dies so she end up with one who doesn't die.
She shares a kiss with both.
She is only intimate on page with one.
No intimate scenes with others.
No cheating.

Im not planning on reading anymore from this author.

I almost didn't read this because of the cover. Nothing about it said romance. Dark, that I could see. However, the blurb drew me in. I'm glad because the book was solid. I'm surprised at how good it was. There were some issues that I had with the storyline and characters but not enough to stop reading it.

Sweet holy hell. This series is intense. This is definitely a series that dives into the underbelly of crime. There is violence, breaking the law, and less than savory villains. There is also chemistry, suspense, and the hope for redemption.

My gripe with this series so far is the reaction to the significant others of Nate and Quinn. I would have thought they would be more understanding that not everything is black and white.

Looking forward to the next story. I have a feeling that it will be the darkest story yet.… (plus d'informations)

Wow

Intense. Dark. Suspenseful. All words that first come to mind when I think about this story. This was definitely the best of the series. I loved that Quinn and Nate had such pivotal roles in this story. I loved watching Benjamin struggle with his demons as he finally let his wall down for Holly. I appreciated that the authors finally tied all the things, and concerns I had, together and gave me a the pretty "happy" ending that I had wanted.

Highly recommend this series. I'm glad the first book cover didn't steer me away from an amazing series. Definitely watching for more from these authors.… (plus d'informations)
